THE FACE...

Words. Sentences. Language. all these can be expressed verbally but what makes the whole situation is the tone and the facial expressions. For example, when a person who is afraid of rats sees a rat and when he does he says “oh my god”. That’s sentence he said can give a lot of different meanings, but in this case he says it with a shocked expression and then runs gives meaning the the sentence. He puts it such that he is shocked and scared of the rat. Or when someone says “come here”. If it is put in a high and harsh tone it could mean a person is angry or if put in a normal smiley tone it could mean a person is just calling u to come. The tone and facial expression of a person can mean a lot. Even without saying anything the face can explain various meaning. Without us realizing it people can read us through our faces. Sometimes u wonder, “why does she think she did something wrong when I didn’t say a word to her”, well when someone is angry or upset its not easy to hide. Somewhere the face or the eyes would show. This could make a person feel uncomfortable thinking they done something wrong. Just the face alone can create a lot of misunderstanding among people close to you. -ASHREEN KAUR-
